NYFW: A/W2015 Nolcha Fashion Week "Ones to Watch"
Nolcha Fashion Week kicked off their first of three runway shows with their "Ones To Watch" show. While waiting for the show, we were greeted by sponsor Indie Hair, which offers a variety of hair products for both men and women. Drinks were served to guests courtesy of J.R. Ewing and DON Q Rums, and women could sign up for nail treatments at SOLO Gel Nails.
The show sent four up-and-coming designers' collections down the runway, each with their own signature trend. Never trying to be politically correct, we always play favorites, and this time it was designer Yvette Hass. Hass has already been featured in Elle Denmark, Elle Sweden, and that is just the start for the emerging Swedish designer. Her line was already on display by "Orange is the New Black" actress Jessica Pimentel.
Learning more about the collection, we found out that Hass had a unique take on her inspiration for the collection, stating that it was from "All the amazing people I had the chance to meet this past year." The humble designer added, "All of the other designer collections stand out in their own way, but my vision is to create strong individual pieces rather than a choral collection; essential pieces to build a wardrobe around, easy to combine in color and long-lasting in both style and extension of upcoming collections." We finished off with her describing her collection for us as " Dynamic, strong, and feminine."
We are defenitly looking out for bigger and brighter things from Hass in the future.
