MUSE: Chef Dom Tesoriero
Chef Dom Tesoriero has proven that being in the right place at the right time is half the battle - along with a lot of hard work. Take his recent success from the Food Network cooking competition “Food Network Star.” He was able to land a spot in the competition because of attention he had received from his Macaroni and Cheese food truck - the only food truck in New York City to offer this comfort food. And before that he was traveling all over the world catering for the United States athletes at the Turin, Vancouver, and Beijing Olympic Games because of a job he got right out of college.
“I always like to think that I have a plan, but it seems like most of the time, plans just find me,” he jokes.
With such an eclectic culinary background, he has the potential to take his passion for food wherever he chooses. Being a food entrepreneur, that no doubt includes embracing his heritage and opening an Italian Restaurant. But for now, he is loving the current opportunities he has with Food Network. Though he can’t tell us everything he’s currently working on, we know this won’t be the last we hear from Chef Dom in the foodie world.

It was a blind date.

Good question; nothing in particular.

Scorpion and other weird things in Beijing, China.
When did you last go to the beach?
Last winter.
What was your least favorite subject in school?
Math.
How would you label your personal style?
Business casual. I like to be neat and keep it put together, but at the same time be comfortable.
What’s your favorite Disney movie?
Peter Pan, The Jungle Book, The Lion King.
Is the glass half full or half empty?
Half full.
What’s your favorite fruit?
Clementines.
What’s the last piece of clothing you purchased?
A pair of Levi’s jeans.
Who’s your favorite superhero?
Wolverine.
Do you believe in aliens?
No. I’ll believe it when I see it. And even then I’ll probably only believe half of it.

Sunflower.

In-N-Out.
